Fall / Winter 2024
Jardin D'hiver
In the stillness of the cold, beneath the frost, a quiet bloom rises. No beauty is lost. Through the cold and the dark, a flower takes flight. In the silence of dawn, it reaches for light.
This is the sanctuary of the winter garden – a place where time suspends and nature’s most delicate forms find their strength. Inspired by the yearning for green suns and the nostalgia of lace and light, the collection captures the transition from the frozen earth to the first, defiant blossoming. It is an atmosphere changed; a longing for the light translated into the architectural grace of silk.
The silhouettes of Jardin d’Hiver are sculpted from the memory of flowers. High-quality silk taffeta provides a structural integrity that mimics the resilience of winter flora – holding its shape in mermaid descents and voluminous, tiered layers that move like a slow-thawing river. There is a play between the rigid and the ethereal: bodices are cinched and precise, some structured in deep velvet or held by the cold brilliance of Swarovski crystal, while skirts erupt into rose-shaped ruffles and gathered volumes that trail a half-beat behind the stride.
Across the collection, the botanical world is reimagined through couture craft. Three-dimensional floral appliqués climb across necklines and shoulders, acting as both ornament and closure. Hand-embroidered poppies and beaded blossoms emerge from the fabric, frozen in a state of eternal bloom. Asymmetry and deep cut-outs offer a modern dialogue with tradition, while silk chiffon adds a kinetic softness, flowing with a natural, unhurried movement.
This is a celebration of the quiet power required to grow in the dark. It is a wardrobe for the woman who carries her own light – finding beauty in the stillness, and a garden even in the heart of winter.
